Under the Australian Government's Better Access Initiative, Australian residents with a valid GP Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) are eligible to receive a Medicare rebate of $141.85 per standard 50-minute clinical psychology consultation for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
Private health insurance funds also provide comprehensive rebates for psychological consultations. Please check with your private fund for your individual extras psychology cover.
